La regresa esta semana, trayendo delicias y celebraciones de todo el mundo al Old Towne Orange Circle.
La 51ª edición del evento anual se llevará a cabo del viernes 1 de septiembre al domingo 3 de septiembre y contará con 30 vendedores de comida que exhibirán comida, artesanías y música internacionales durante todo el fin de semana.

Brasil es el país nuevo destacado este año, dijo el presidente de la feria, Adam Feliz, y contará con tazones de acai.
“Es un lugar donde puedes disfrutar de comida y música internacionales en una plataforma que realmente invita a toda la familia”, dijo Feliz.
En la feria, los visitantes pueden disfrutar de todo, desde shawarma y cannoli hasta tamales y buñuelos. La feria se divide en diferentes “calles” de temática global, incluidas Aussie Street y Lebanese Street, que presentan comida y música representativas de los países.
La feria callejera del año pasado se produjo durante una ola de calor en California, la cual afectó la participación, y Feliz espera que este año la feria pueda volver a los niveles de asistencia previos a la pandemia, donde más de 400.000 personas inundarían las calles alrededor de la rotonda de Orange durante todo el fin de semana.
El tráfico alrededor del círculo de Orange Plaza estará cerrado, pero muchos de los restaurantes tradicionales permanentes alrededor del área permanecerán abiertos durante la feria. Si bien los últimos años han tenido un tema, que incluía “Circular el mundo” o “La naranja dorada”, este año no habrá tema.
Feliz dijo que algunas bandas que podrá escuchar en el escenario principal incluyen a los Fenians a las 8 p.m. el viernes y los Wild Adults a la misma hora el domingo. La banda Latin Lowdown regresará a la Calle México luego de estar ausentes los últimos años.
La feria es una gran recaudación de fondos para organizaciones locales sin fines de lucro, que albergan los puestos de comida y alcohol. Los nuevos beneficiarios de la feria de este año incluyen el béisbol de El Modena High School y el Booster Club de baloncesto femenino de El Modena.
Feliz dijo que algunas de las organizaciones sin fines de lucro dependen en gran medida de la feria para recaudar la mayoría de sus fondos.
“(Las organizaciones sin fines de lucro) nos utilizan para recaudar la mayoría de sus fondos”, dijo Feliz. “Es algo cercano y querido para nuestros corazones ver que el evento continúa y deja un legado que continúa por otros 50 años”.
